Sputnik public center
One of the main challenges that architects in modern cities face today is the creation of a high-quality public environment in conditions of high building density. We faced a similar task while working on a public center in the Myakininskaya floodplain. It is located on a compact rectangular site and is surrounded by 40-story residential buildings. Thanks to the multi-level landscape, this relatively small area (2.42 hectares) was able to be filled with all sorts of functions, and, in addition, to create an attractive fifth facade - a top view that will open from the windows of the surrounding houses.

The project includes an educational center, a park and various recreational areas: playgrounds, cafes and workout spaces. There is a car park at the underground level; its technical premises are integrated into the green slopes. An amphitheater with a multifunctional area is also integrated into the landscape. The one-story public pavilions are covered with a green roof, along which a pedestrian route runs.
The area is crossed by a walking path that leads from the bus stop to a small town square with cafes and restaurants. Behind them there is a descent to the Moscow River embankment.
